Levaditi stain

Lev·a·di·ti \le-vȧ-dē-tē\ Constantin (1874–1935), French bacteriologist. Levaditi spent most of his career in research at the Pasteur Institute in Paris, where he was in charge of the laboratory for many years. In 1906 he introduced the silver nitrate staining method and used it to study the causative spirochete (Treponema pallidum) of syphilis in the livers of newborns affected with the disease.
